So many fluorescent rocks at this public collecting site
Просмотров 3,3 тыс.10 месяцев назад
Join me at dusk to collect a few crazy good rocks that glow under long wave UV (black light). This is a public site in downtown Bancroft in Canada. I am using the 4 watt Way Too Cool Convoy flashlight here, but have no affiliation with the company. I bought the lamp a while back. I notice they now have a 6 watt which should be brighter but also probably heats up faster (which is to be avoided b...

Collecting Banded Iron for a Rock Tumbler
Nice property. Have you used your metal detector on it yet?
I have not detected there. For sure, it would be challenging because we did quite a bit of skeet shooting. lol
Wow!!!! Now that my heart rate has decreased 😂. Thanks for sharing, watching from tropical North Queensland Australia 🇦🇺
I was unsure what to expect. They make an awful sound. lol
They'll go soon enough 👍good to see them, don't have vultures in Australia
They are getting big. Hope they leave soon
Is this Liam Neeson on the down low?? LOL.
Wish I could help. Walnuts apples.. pond.. That is a great place! And again, that place is built to outlast us all.
I am thinking about selling it soon. I have enjoyed owning it and my dogs love it there
Nice property, and letting them learn to fly. Thanks n Blessins to Y'all
So Precious little gifts God gives us..even these. Thanks for being kind and allowing them to survive. You are precious too.
Yes, thank you
Hows Daisy meMiner?.
Unfortunately, Daisy passed away. I was going to make a video but my heart is broken
Good day Greig. ✌
Lol you had me going:)
Oh, those vulture babies have gotten awfully big be nice when they fly away😅 they look menacing, and then just downright nasty😂😂😂
I was thinking about putting a trail camera to watch them to see what happens when I am not there
Oh, I could see the puppies have found the water to cool off. Wow looks like a beautiful piece of property Gregg it’ll take a little bit to mow back the grass and cut a few unwanted trees and make a little beach on the AirPod to get in and out a little better.❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
The labs love the water. I just have to keep an eye out that they don't grab a turtle. lol
Update , Yaaay. Cute when they're still fluffy. Bonus of a perfect puppy spa. Nice to see you. Lovely spot.
Thank you! 😊
Nice 😊
Such talent!!!
That is a nice looking lot you have there Greg. Be safe over there and have a great Summer Buddy.
I am thinking about selling it but know I will miss it
Nice to see you again, by the way!!!
Hey, thanks!
Lovely property! A delightful looking little project! If you could only pressurewash the whole inside! Those old logs...!! There comes a time when younger joints with dreams and muscles are needed.
I originally thought about jacking it up from underneath but now think the best answer is to take it apart and rebuild with the old logs on the same footprint
Hiya Greg, that's a cool old building, it's a fixer upper for sure. Is that the same property the tree fell on you? I hope you have a awesome blessed day. Cya! 😺🐟 !
Yep. Same place. I was going to include a bit of that darn tree that got me. I have it half cut up and will enjoy burning it. lol
So good to see you again...and the girls!!
Hey chief quick question: What's NOT squatting in you cabin ?
homeless people haven't moved in lol
I love the result, but may I know what will you do with them after that?
I separate any larger ones that appear to be flawless and get them faceted. They look like diamonds when that is done. I keep a few of the remaining and give away the rest
I love the result, but may I know what will you do with them after that?
I have always admired your field "denim" polish technique !!!
lol
I have one like it. What is the material that was placed on the stone? And what is its benefit? Thank you
I etch the calcite to expose some undamaged crystals with either diluted muriatic or full strength table vinegar. Only works if some of the minerals are affected and others that you want to expose are unaffected
@@meMiner Thank you . I will try it
I find it hard to believe that it chewed up the floor and ceiling??
Be interesting to check your rocks with a Geiger counter.
Linda, pedra é um geodo
What are the rpms on this saw?
I am not sure
❤❤❤❤❤
I'm jealous. I don't know of any place in the US like that!
Lots of Americans make a trip to this area and go home with rocks. ;-)
very pretty, loved the video
Great father
I used vinegar to soak some rocks but it didn't work well. I'm getting a dremel. No more wasting time soaking rocks. I can grind and shape with the grinding wheels, remove scratches and polish it to boot. All that would only take about 30 minutes or so as opposed to weeks and months at a time. I might even start a business.
it depends greatly on the host rock. Not all rocks are affected. Dremels work great but beware of breathing rock dust when working dry. Good luck
Found your channel while searching for info on a specific uv light but I’m so happy I found you. I may end up being one of your followers that will annoy you with questions lol😂 But hey not only do you love dogs, but you love rocks…obviously two of my big loves too so that was enough for me to subscribe!!! On top of that I’m loving your videos because they’re all around full of peace, happiness and honesty whereas most channels are loaded with overkill content that usually makes me leave half way through a video. Too many people focused on the wrong things. Please Never stop being humble 😊❤🐕🐾🦴
Such a nice comment. Thanks much!
@@meMineryou’re so very welcome 🤗
Do you have a link for this light? I been using a Beast but it’s the pocket sized one and I am not even close to impressed with the amount it covers especially when taking photos lol. I been eyeing that one but keep seeing different price ranges and also fear making a purchase from a site that may not be trustworthy. Seeing no reviews doesn’t help my fears 😂
I got my light directly from Way Too Cool. That ensured it isn't a knock off.
@@meMinerthank you so much. Really appreciate you ❤
Wow! I would have passed out.
Stick on a shelf? I would purify it and make coins and bars and use some to make blades and bullets!
Looks like vultures. 😮
It saddens me to see such damage to a really cool old cabin ! I hope you can get it restored and make more use of it for yourself !!! You're kind to leave the chick's be, but eww, what a stinky MESS that must be !!!😮
Didn't smell awful but they sure made a mess and I will need a mask before sweeping it up.
@@meMiner I don't envy you . Be safe!
dirty bird
LOL !!!!!!
Whatever it is, it's a menace.
true that
That's what I've called them all my life Turkey vultures✌️ Napa California
Sweet little Chicken Coop...funny looking chickens! LOL
Wow.
Garnets are quite hard, eh?
That thing sounded like a cat hissing!
It’s odd they prefer to get in an attic or upper floor of old houses to raise their young. They are nasty too and can projectile puke on you if you mess with then enough.
Sounds like a horror show. lol
Awesome video😂 and hope your doing well
